I signed up for a swap on Instagram a few months ago. I'm not sure what I was thinking. Of course I stressed out about it and then frantically paper pieced and then mailed off my package today. I posted a triumphant photo of the self service postage machine at the post office... and then was scolded on Instagram for sending my package too early. Argh. I seriously cannot find anywhere that says we weren't allowed to mail before October 1, but apparently I was supposed to know that. Craft fail. The thing about swaps is that they're kind of like sandwiches from Jimmy Johns - I forget that I hate them so I think they're a good idea... and then I get burned. #ouch
In other news, I realized that my plan to Hilton Hhonors it up in Odawara was NOT a good idea considering that there is still a volcanic eruption warning in the Hakone area. I'm more worried about the potential travel impacts of a volcanic eruption than being stuck in lava a la Pompeii, but either way, it's not what I want during my vacay. So I'm going to be taking myself to SEOUL for a couple of days during my Asia trip in January. I've never been to Korea and I'm rather looking forward to it. Dolsot bibimbap! Kpop! Korean spas! More bibimbap!
